Miriam creates ceramics in stoneware and porcelain, shaping each piece by hand and on the wheel before firing them in a wood kiln at 1300ºC. Growing up in La Bisbal d’Empordà (Catalunya, Spain), a town steeped in pottery traditions, gave her a strong foundation in classic wheel techniques. Her studies in ceramics, however, opened the door to a more contemporary and expressive approach. In her teaching, she loves blending these two worlds - tradition and innovation - into every piece of clay.
