Angelica, born in Avellino, Italy, is a dedicated ceramic artist whose work is rooted in a deep exploration of the natural world. After graduating in Applied Art with a focus on Ceramics, she further her skills at Morley College in London, specializing in ceramics. Over the years, she gained experience working at renowned ceramic studios such as Stoltzman and Thomas in London. In 2005, she established her own studio in southern Italy and collaborated with the architects Cappelli e Ranzo. Currently based in Bozzolo, Mantua, Angelica shares her expertise through teaching at CPIFAC in France and conducting workshops in her studio and various ceramic centres across Italy and abroad. Her research focuses on creating sculptural organic forms using a variety of hand-building techniques, incorporating self-made glazes and slips, and experimenting with mixing clay with other materials. She has also explored many wood-firing techniques and kiln-building methods. Angelica is a member of the Ceramicoscopio collective, based in Nove, Vicenza, and continues to push the boundaries of ceramic art through her innovative approaches and dedication to the craft.
