Anna Basile is a ceramic artisan and artist originally from Puglia, living in Turin since 2012. In 2014 she founded Studio Delta Pottery, a workshop where she designs and creates everyday ceramic objects, with an approach that combines minimalist forms with a refined sensitivity to color. She mainly works with stoneware and porcelain, materials chosen for their strength and quality, shaped on the wheel and fired at high temperature. She is an expert in the formulation and research of high-temperature glazes, a field in which she develops unique chromatic effects and surfaces, suitable for daily use yet always expressive. She collaborates with prestigious restaurants throughout Italy, creating bespoke tableware for them. Over the past four years, she has expanded her artistic research into the world of wild clays, exploring the potential of these non-industrial soils both as ceramic bodies and as a base for creating natural glazes. In particular, she has experimented with porcelain inclusions and with merging materials collected in nature with contemporary processing techniques, with special attention to the dialogue between territory and form.
